The Truman Show *Contains Spoilers*

The Truman Show was way better than I thought.  Like a 94.7 out of 100.  It was actually really fascinating.  Usually I don't like movies that have simple plots unless they have crazy awesome special effects (Transformers), but this was just a brilliant idea.  Plus, Jim Carrey is just awesome.
The show is about a man raised in a world revolving around him, to entertain other people. Obviously, it is too inhumane to ever actually ever be done, but it made think about someone putting their life online all the time.  It is an interesting idea.  It is more likely that it would happen online.  Possibly on Ustream or BlogTV.  I could see that happening in a controlled environment like the International Space Station or something along those lines.  I would love to see something like that happen.

DailyBooth

I started a DailyBooth account yesterday.  I know, I know.   I'm way behind the times and everyone has already had DailyBooth for like 3 years, but I like it.  It is a communication through pictures and less words than Twitter.  My goal is to use it daily, like it says in the name, but I'll probably end up using it more.  Probably today.  I wish all comments had to be picture comments, though.  That would bring it to a new level of interaction.  That's what I think about DailyBooth.

Why the iPad will always be #1.

I think that the iPad will be the top tablet for a long time.  It is obviously still the frontrunner right now.  It also has almost an entire year head start on other tablets, which is a huge amount of time in this day and age.  Another thing is the fact that people are already so familiar with iOS.  It's easy to use and almost everyone has access to an iPhone or iPod Touch.  It is also very easy to use with Macs, which are a big deal right now.  Plus, Apple has a lot of money and is downright cool.  They never fail to disappoint.  Honeycomb and all the other operating systems are just too far behind the iPad's sleek, easy to use design.

School Technology

I don't understand the way our school system decides what they want to spend money on.  Our computers at school still run Window's XP Pro and Office 2003... and then they give us computer classes with that.  How do they expect us to be successful people if we can only use outdated technology.  I love Macs, but I think that the school should be teaching us on Macs and Windows based computers.  We should be using Windows 7 and OS X Lion and Using the most recent versions of both Microsoft Office and Apple iWork.  We should also be using tablets, because Post-PC devices are blowing up right now and are going to continue to accelerate at exponential rates.  We should be learning iOS and Android Honeycomb.  Also, why is only Internet Explorer used on school computers.  On my MacBook I use Safari, Google Chrome, FireFox, Opera, and Camino for internet browsers.  We should be learning to use lots of browsers depending on what our future businesses use.  I wish they would push us to use innovative technologies like Evernote and Dropbox.  Instead, they're teaching us how to use a flash drive.  *facepalm*  Flash drives are becoming increasingly outdated and are quickly being replaced by cloud computing.  They finally got smart boards last year, even though many schools had them in 2008.  Technology is developing at an exponential rate. Why are we being taught on technology from 2003?

Starting Off

I am going to try to do daily blogs here.  Will it work?  Absolutely not.  Being that consistent as a fourteen year old student going into high school seems all but impossible.  I will talk about all sorts of things.  Tech, music, books, movies, ect.  Hopefully it will be awesome.  If you like it, please come back often.  Also I will attempt to post links to every new post I create on twitter, we'll see how that works.
A few more things about me:  I am an avid Apple fan. I will probably post about Apple quite a bit.  I also like music, so there will be a lot of random music facts interspersed within this.  Sorry if I after start rambling off in some math thing,  I tend to do that.
Thanks for listening to me talk.
